Our promise to families

At Learn and Play at Kidzone, your family's trust comes first. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — in plain language, with no fine print. Because our audience includes children, we design every feature with extra care and follow the principles of children's online privacy protections like COPPA.

Information we collect

• Account information: When a parent or teen creates an account, we collect a name and email address so we can recognize you, send important updates, and protect your account.
• Child profiles: Parents may create optional child profiles (first name, age, and interests) to personalize activity recommendations. These profiles are tied to your parent account and are never used to contact a child directly.
• Activity data: We track which activities are completed, badges earned, and streaks so we can celebrate progress and power the dashboard and leaderboard. Leaderboards display only first names or nicknames — never contact details.
• Community content: In TeenSpace, teens may post messages, mood check-ins, and event listings. This content is visible to other logged-in users in those spaces and is moderated for safety.
• Technical data: Like most websites, we automatically collect basic device and usage information (browser type, approximate region, and pages visited) to keep the app secure and improve performance.

How we use information

• To personalize activities, badges, and recommendations for your child.
• To run parent dashboards, leaderboards, and saved reading lists.
• To send transactional emails (account setup, password resets) and, with your consent, optional product updates.
• To moderate teen community spaces and remove content that violates our safety guidelines.
• To analyze aggregate, de-identified usage trends so we can improve the app.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
• We do not show behavioral advertising to children.
• We do not contact children directly — all communications go to the parent email on file.
• We do not use a child's profile data to build third-party marketing profiles.

Payments

Subscription purchases are processed through our payment provider, Base44 Payments (powered by Wix). Payment card details are handled entirely by the provider — we never see or store full card numbers. We retain only the order status and plan name needed to grant and manage your subscription.

Third-party services

We use trusted services to operate the app, including hosting, email delivery, and analytics. We also display inspiration from Pinterest inside our libraries; pins link out to Pinterest and are governed by Pinterest's own privacy policy. Each provider accesses only the data needed to perform its function and is bound by its own privacy commitments.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data — including child profiles, completions, and saved articles — at any time from your dashboard or by contacting us. We will remove your data within 30 days of a verified request, except where we are required to retain records for legal or security purposes.

Your rights

Parents and users may access, correct, export, or delete their personal information. For children's data, parents hold these rights on behalf of their child. To exercise any right, visit our Contact page and we will respond within 30 days.

Children's safety

KidZone is designed for children ages 4–12 and is always used under a parent's account. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children without parental involvement. TeenSpace is intended for teens and includes moderated community features; we encourage families to discuss safe sharing together. If you believe a child has provided us information without consent, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our app grows. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy here and update the "last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
